how do I get mac goflex 3tb to operate on my windows xp operating system

It would need to be formatted to NTFS, the filesystem Windows uses. Is there any information on it now, that you need to save? There is a utility I know of that can read the Mac filesystem (HFS+) to get that info off it.

Is it going to be used on a Mac as well as a PC or just that PC now? There are options for making it compatible both ways.
