Question How do I get my google chrome bookmarks from my old pc to new?

My old pc died after a power outage so I ended up building a new one. After signing into my Google account I realized I had none of my bookmarks, I saw turning on synced work for some people but it didn't work for me. Is there any way to get my bookmarks back?

Only if you can somehow hook the hard drive up, from the old pc, to the new one. Is this a regular HDD, or 2.5" SSD, in the old system, or is it M.2, of Sata or NVME variety?

I had both a Sata ssd and HDD on the old system but mostly everything was on the ssd.

This will allow you to hook up either a 2.5 or 3.5 drive to your new system, via USB. You should then be able to access the files you need, to get your bookmarks.

My old Sata ssd has windows 10 installed on it will this conflict with my new fresh install of windows on my new pc or is it fine? Appreciate the help so far.

No it will not conflict, as long as you are booted into your new rig and then hook up the drive. It would be no different than plugging in a USB flash drive.

Be sure to turn on Cloud Sync if you want that feature in the future.

Plug up all drive, grab your books marks import to the new machine and save in your chrome profile.

You can easily transfer your Google Chrome bookmarks from one computer to another by using the following steps:

1. On your old computer, open Google Chrome and click on the three dots (menu) in the upper-right corner of the window.
2. Click on "Bookmarks" and then "Bookmark Manager."
3. In the Bookmark Manager, click on "Organize" and then "Export bookmarks to HTML file."
4. Save the file to an external drive or cloud storage service.
5. On your new computer, open Google Chrome and click on the three dots (menu) in the upper-right corner of the window.
6. Click on "Bookmarks" and then "Bookmark Manager."
7. In the Bookmark Manager, click on "Organize" and then "Import bookmarks from HTML file."
8. Locate the HTML file you saved earlier and select it to import your bookmarks into Google Chrome on your new computer.

Note: If you have multiple profiles in Google Chrome, be sure to use the profile that has the bookmarks you want to transfer. You can switch profiles by clicking on your profile picture in the upper-right corner of the window. I hope this helps you

I've had a few new computers and usually the bookmarks get imported when I sign in to my google account on the new computer.
