How do I get my Samsung SSD 850 pro 512GB to recognize when it won't show in disk management?

I have installed my SSD correctly on my computer ( Physically attached it to sata port in Dell inspiron 17r se 7720 laptop Mid 2012) But it won't recognize either in file explorer or disk management, (But it does show up in bios.) Question: What am I doing wrong? Please Help? I feel like I am about to pull my hair out trying to get it to recognize. Thank you.

The sata ports are likely in raid mode since here is usually a caching msata drive in those. Enter intel rst and initialize the drive thru there
