how do i get my second graphics card to run when i launch a program?

i would like to assign my 2nd graphics card to run when i play games to increase frame rate. right now my second card never turns on (this has been happening since i wiped my computer, but was working fine before) so i would like to set it up so that the second card takes the load from certain programs. my cards are 2x amd sapphire 7850s.

it is turned on, and it weas working fine before i wiped my computer, now the second one wont even do anything.

are your drivers up to date? Try running the card that doesn't work on it's own in the PC. IF it doesn't boot, that's your problem.
