How do i get print preferences on my epson printer when it is telling me magenta

My printer is telling me magenta is empty and I removed the cartridge. I only want black and white and there is plenty in the black cartridge - I never use colour anyway.

No inkjet I know of will let you print with a missing cartridge. If you just print in black and white, get a laserjet, better quality text and toner is much cheaper than using ink.
