how do I get rid of "Update to Windows 10 Tech Prev. on a computer that will not be Testing Windows 10 TP.. It was in my windows update.

I have never seen that on any of my Win 8.1 or Win 7 systems.

It was only last night that I made sure all of my Windows updates were up to date. I saw no option for this at that time, and I had about 20 updates pop up. The last time I ran them was about a month ago and I never saw it then either. Like USAFRet said, can you take a screen shot? It may/may not be some sort of malware.

If it is, or you are unsure try running malwarebytes to see if it detects anything.

IT CAME UP AGAIN!!!! Looks like a required update to me.
Below is listing of a failed update. How do you do a screen shot in 8.1?

Ahhhhh....now we got to the meat of the situation
If you are logged with a Windows account,
and if you downloaded the Win 10 Tech Preview with that same Windows account....

...then yeah, it will probably prompt you to install it.

and then login with you other microsoft account or sign in as reular user

All you need to do is remove KB2990214 to remove the prompt to upgrade to Windows 10 Technical Preview.
