how do i get sound on my dvd that I burned on windows media player

trying to burn a movie that I have downloaded. Picture is good ---no sound

You have to have the proper audio codecs to hear the sound. That all depends on the format they were originally recorded with. Though some players may work not all of them contain every possible codec.
