Ok so i have a nvidia 9800 gx2....And i know that to get sound while using hdmi you need to use the nvidea spidif cable that goes from your onboard spidif out on your motherboard to the spidif port on your graphics card....well i have the spidif pluged in correctly and on sounds i have digital audio (s/pidif) checked and it is green and when i play a YouTube video for example it shows the green bar going up and down while it playing but no sound?! I also have the lossless hd audio plugged into my mobo as well.....my motherboard is a amd 990fx sabertooth rev 2.0 (just got it the other day) and i am using Windows 8.1.

Go into BIOS. Is there a setting somewhere to use/activate the spdif header? I had to do this to get sound out through my old 9800's HDMI.

Also, I don't think the "spdif interface" is the correct windows playback device. I think it should be "Nvidia High Definition Audio Device" or something similar.
