How do I get to the other levels in Gehennom?

How do I get to the other levels in Gehennom? I have passed the Casle level
and can make it to the Valley of the Dead by falling through trap doors but
I always end up in the Valley of the Dead. I have fallen though every trap
door.

The valley of the dead should have a stairs leading down somewhere...

I am not ablee to find a staircase down??? I have the thing mapped out
pretty well but I seen no staircase??

Yeah, it seems that many people get caught up by that secret door.
Recently I've had to explain to a friend exactly where to search in
order to locate it.

Seems strange to get down to the VoD and then get caught up by
something simple like that, but that's the way it works. Secret doors
get very rare in the levels below, though there's still one very
significant one to find....
