How do I go around moving my operating system to a different partition?

I have a 160GB hard drive which I seriously regret even having.. one of the partition is 30gb while the other is 140GB.. Evidently the 30GB isnt enough for win7 64bit and I was wondering what do I have to do to move it to the other partition. dont care about data loss.. just want this done. how do I go about it?

Just extend the 30GB partition in Disk management.

Right click My computer, select manage, then disk management
Right click the 140GB partition and shrink it (if free space on it), then the 30GB one and extend it.

I tried that, it doesnt give me the option to extend the C partition once I've shrunk the D partition down

Format the resulted volume, move all files from D to to the new partition, then delete the D partition, so that the empty space be between C and D
