How do i install a email program on windows 7

Hello,
i try to email my daughters school or something on a website and it says please set up default email program! im going crazy! also i cant open documents sent from my dtrs office..i have windows 7 computer i just bought!

Windows 7 does not come with an email program out-of-the-box.

If you've installed a professional level of Microsoft Office that includes Outlook (that's Outlook not Outlook Express), then you can use that comprehensive email/calendaring program.

Otherwise, download Windows Live Mail:
