How do I install a game on my Flash Drive instead of Hard Drive? When I install it, It goes straight to hard drive. And when I try to move it from hard drive to flash drive it won't let me.

Solution

you seriously need to consider getting an extra drive soon, with only 5gb left your drive is prob not performing optimally, suggest you start cleaning and delete stuff?

when you say you cant "move" the files to the flash drive, is it because of the file system? does it pop up and say file too large?,
if the flash drive is Fat32 format, which most flash drives are, you will likely run into "size" problems regarding files, including game installation, you need to ensure the drive is formatted as NTFS filesystem to handle larger file sizes since Fat32 only allows max file size at 4gb
I hope you mean SSD. Flash drives(usb sticks) are not always the fastest things around.

Steam allows multiple libraries, but I am not sure if they support removable devices or not. Other games normally allow custom installs to pick a location to install to.

You can not simply move a game(and much less if it or parts of it are being accessed by other software.). There are tricks to fool it into thinking it is on the system however(symbolic link the thing :) ).

I don't have enough room on hard drive for both the installer and the game itself, so im going to install the installer on usb and download game on hard drive. But im not using steam because the game isnt on steam

Well, what i mean is i have to download an installer. I'm going to download the installer on a flash drive and the actual game on the hard drive itself. The installer is 3.3 GB, I have like 5 GB free so I won't be able to fit the game and installer :(
