[SOLVED] How do I install a second 8-pin connector into PSU?

My old GPU only needed one 8-pin connector so I need to install a second. The only problem being I am not sure how to get to my PSU to plug the second one in.

Check your case manual online. There should be instructions how to get in there.

Looks like you should be able to access the PSU connectors by removing the other side panel behind the motherboard.

I have a Cooler Master MASTERCASE H500M.

There will be 2 screws it looks like after you take the panel off.

Try to get to it through the other side panel not pictured above. There should be openings to the side and under the motherboard with covers on them to hide the PSU and cables.

This is what it looks like when I remove the other side panel. Which screws are you referring to?

Take off that panel where those cables are coming out from. There will be the PSU.

From there the two case screws where all those cables are sticking out should do the trick

You have to plug in another VGA power cable into one of the red connectors of the PSU.

You should be able to pull the PSU out if needed if you removed the back thumbscrews

A harder way in is through the PSU shroud in the first picture. You would need to be careful not to bend any of the bottom connection to your motherboard when removing the two pieces of metal there. But it will give you more space to work with.
