Sorry if this is question is in the wrong place...
I bought Just Cause 3 a couple of days back and i read on some forum that the game files was over 35 gb to download. I have an 60 kb/s network so it would take ages downloading something like this. I then saw somebody mentioning that the game on various sites like the piratebay was compressed to only 15 gb. So i downloaded the files and decompress them, the file size matched most of the steam files in size so it looked legit. I then started the long process of getting steam to verify the files, i took a couple of minutes and a pleasing sign showed up. All files verified. Relieved and happy, i tried to start JC3, only to realise it had started to download all the files again and deleted all the compressed files. (Still have the compressed files)
Is there any way at all to get the preload files to work?
I know, i shouldn't trust preloads and stuff like that on piratebay and other "pirate" sites. But as the game is not cracked i can't see why the files would be any diffrent than the original steam files?
