This is from my mac so is this the problem?
I downloaded
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10ISO?tduid=(1cd37e6d940da0056f57dae00daa0ba0)(266696)(1503186)(skim1402X558040Xcf4eaf2c619e73433c1cd83cb1c95384)()

put on a memory stick (8gb) (all from a mac)
pluged it into my pc and it says

Reboot and select proper boot devise
or insert boot media in selected boot devise and press a key

I have put in the memory stick if you are wondering.

Thanks

That's not how the media creation tool works. You would need to run the actual tool on another working windows pc where it will download the necessary files and move it to your usb.

Since you are on a mac, you will have to use a different method using BootCamp Assistant. There a rough guide in using that tool:

To get the latest Window 10 ISO files, use this link:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO/

yep I can do that I just didn't realise boot camp could do that I only thought it created windows on my mac

Thanks hope this works

After creating that, you would plug the usb device into the new pc.
Boot the system up and try to get into the bios. You typically would have to hit delete during bootup but of it is your first time, it will probably show a screen telling you what hardware is connected and running and it will tell you to press F1 to go into the setup. That would also lead you into the bios.
Read your motherboard's manual in installing windows 10, there is most likely a section with the information you may need.
Within the bios, you want to load optimized defaults and then boot override to the usb device to start the window 10 installation.

thanks it all works
