How do I install windows 10 without an optical drive

Hey there,

I'm currently using a 2011 macbook pro and in the process of building a gaming pc that will not have an optical drive, I'm curious if I can download the ISO files onto a flash drive from my mac and if that will allow me to install windows 10 onto the new pc. any help is appreciated

You can burn it onto USB

The media tool will either create an ISO for a dvd or will create a bootable USB for you.

only need 4gb space and it will be formatted during the process

buy an 8g usb stick. with formating and partion size some 4g sticks wont hold the windows iso. the media tool will fail.there also the microsoft iso to usb tool. all you need is iso image or windows 10 disk and a usb stick. if you cant run these on a mac the windows 10 retail os kit comes with a usb stick when you look on amazon/newegg it show a small usb keystick. if you have the oem disk you can email/speak with online ms rep to see what they change to send a usb stick to owners of windows 10 cd that need a usb stick.

i didn't say he only needed a 4gb stick, just it only uses that much. I made a 16gb stick last time.
