How do I install windows 7?

Ok so I just set up my new pc and It does not have a CD-ROM but the windows 7 I ordered comes in a disc. How do I get all of windows 7 content onto a usb?

Or borrow a DVD drive.

You will have to use another system with a dvd drive in it.

Pop the windows 7 install disk into the drive.

Next you need a bit of software called power iso.

What you need to do is create an ISO image file of the windows install dvd.

And save the Iso image created to a hard drive in the system, by using the power Iso software.

You then need to go to the Microsoft website, where you can download a tool that will prep a usb flash drive to make it system boot able, and copy the saved Iso image made by power Iso via the saved image file to the Usb flash drive or pen drive you intend to use.
You will need a flash drive of about 32Gb in storage capacity, to be on the safe side.

Once the Microsoft iso to usb flash drive program has completed the drive will be system boot able.

You will then need to go into the bios menu of your motherboard.-The system you intend to install windows on via usb flash drive.

And enable legacy detection of usb devices in the bios menu options.

Set the usb flash drive to be the first boot able device to look for when your system is first powered up.

And set your Hard disk drive or SSD drive to be the second boot able device in the boot order priority list of the bios.

Make sure you set the Sata ports interface mode in the bios to AHCI mode.
Save the new settings made before you exit the bios.


Plug the usb pen drive into any usb 2.0 port of the system.

Restart the system, and when you see press any key to boot media.
Hit a key on your keyboard.

After that just follow the steps of the windows 7 setup and install process.
