[SOLVED] How do I install WPA2 on a Mac?

We just noticed that our MacBook and iMac folders indicate they are "shared" by a person whom we do not know. We have a wireless network using an unsecured "Linksys." Both Macs use Leopard operating systems. We live in 100 unit Condo building. We have read that we might secure our network with WPA2? Does this sound like an optimal choice? How do we access and install? Any other ideas. Thank you very much. T.

Well, a general guess would be the networking options, not sure where on a mac they are but once in their, you should look at the security options of the wireless connection.

I am assuming the mac's would be easy enough to find these things on as they are usually easy to find on other OS's.

What is important is that you secure your computers immediately. I hope nothing important is contained in these folders.

Actually, he would have to change the settings on the router to do anything.

EDIT: Be sure to select the option for WPA2 if your router supports it, as it is much more secure than WEP and WPA1.

I was confused that the mod took it out of the wireless section of the forum, when technically it's not asking about Macs. Sorta.

After securing your router, don't forget to turn the OSX firewall on too.
For Leopard, I think you go to: System Preferences --> Security --> Firewall.
The option will be under 'Sharing' if it's not under 'Security.'
