How do I keep my case's LEDs turned ON when my computer is switched OFF

I've recently installed a toggle switch on the front panel of my PC (with a drill and some basic wiring). What this allows me to do is change between having no lighting, green or blue LED's in my case. I'd like to extend this feature to other parts of my room by running LED extensions from my PC to LED strips around my room - kinda like mood lighting.

Ideally I'd like to be able to turn off my PC completely and use the power being supplied to the motherboard to power the LEDs. I can then use the switch to change the mood lighting in my room. I see no reason why this isn't possible, but I have no idea where to look.

My rig is as follows:
Mobo: ASUS Maximum VI Extreme
CPU: Intel i7 4770k @ 4.0GHz
RAM: 8GB
GPU: 2x GTX 760 SLi
PSU: 750W OCZ something..

What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

The standby voltage doesn't supply enough power to power your entire room. It's very low ampage.

easier solution. mood lighting, it's own power, remote with every color available.

When the pc powers off, that's it.

Grab a car battery and hook your lighting up to that instead. (ghetto solution). Otherwise get an inverter.

Would there be enough power to light up 1 strip (inside the case). So I can keep my computer's lights on when powered off?

If not then I have also looked at the remote controlled LED strips and will probably go with that.
Off-topic.. Could I somehow use my HTC One (which has an IR sender) to control the IR controlled LED strips?

no, you can't use any standby voltage inside the pc for anything. get a 12b adapter and cut the end and wire the pc lights to that if you want the pc lights on that bad. no way to do it with the pc on. jumping the green wire might work but that would keep the psu on all the time, thus supplying power to your gpu and hd and everything even though the mb is off. just doesn't work. using a 12v adapter is easier.

as for the remote control, i dunno. depends if the htc-one is a learning remote and the light remote uses common ir frequency.
