Question How do I keep my mouse inside one monitor without it accidentally slipping into the other?

Here's what my setup looks like:
-------------
27inch
-------------
------------------[X]--------------[X]-------- -----------
49inch
-----------------------------------------------------------
with the 27 inch being above.
This is exactly how I set it up in Windows/nvidia control panel multiple display setup.
Look at [X] spots I have marked
However, if I try to close the window or grab windows that are fullscreen, I accidentally keep slipping into the second monitor.
This is despite the fact that the top monitor is smaller, so my mouse MUST ONLY GO TO THE TOP MONITOR IF I WANT TO ENTER SECOND MONITOR FROM THAT AREA RIGHT?
Well Nope! ANYWHERE on the top side of the 49 inch I try to grab it just keeps going into the 27 inch!!
Like for christ's sake windows cant this be like side monitors? where if your second monitor is smaller there's a smaller area where you can enter the second monitor?
Is there a way, a third party program, anything, to end my suffering and allow me to only enter second monitor with my mouse if I'm in the area between the marked [X]s?
This is honestly the expected behavior and I'm going crazy, please help🙏🙏
edit:
my apologies the text drawing I did looks bad, here's a picture:

Only path from 1 to 2 and back is at the corners.
