how do i know if a hard drive is compatible?

My hard drive recently contracted the click of death and has pretty much broken as everything is super slow and glitches out all the time.I am looking for a new hard drive as a replacement but i have no idea what type of hard drive will be compatible

I am currently using a HP Pavillion p6 - 2115 ea but I cannot for the life of me make sense of the hard drive specifications. I do know it is SATA or something though.

Please help?
