I have ASUS Prime Z690 P D4 with 12600K bought just couple of months ago. I have 4 cool moon fans which are not connected to Mobo control. All this is in a MSI 100R case with 2 front ARGB fans. These 2 front fans are connected to a Fan hub that comes with the case. The hub can be connected to the mobo and the LED Switch on the case. I decided since i have the option, i would try and connect the hub to the Mobo 5v ARGB Header to be controlled by the Armory Crate. This worked fine initially for half an hour, and I was switching things around, when it stopped working. The only thing I may have done wrong is to press the LED Controller switch (while it was connected to the mobo as well). Now it does not let me control anything Via armory crate and i cant verify is the header itself is working or not. Am I wrong in assuming pressing the led switch may have caused an inflow of current into the Headers and spoiled it? Mobo is working fine, except for the ARGB headers.

Solution
Disconnected the switch from the mobo and just have the fans through hub to mobo?

I can't see backfeed being any kind of issue causing damage since it's all the same connection. The only thing the switch does is change the argb pattern preset to the lighting, then to ground. Mobo does the same.
