Hello everyone....
So I built my PC Recently and I got a second hand "Unused" Ryzen R5 3600, I started using the PC normaly for the first couple of days, I got a couple of BSOD's at first but I didn't care that much and went aheah and updated everything.
Everything seemed to be normal until the 3rd day... random bsod with diffrent error codes have started to appear after 10 minutes of starting up my system. then on the 4th day the system won't even boot into windows. a BSOD would appear as soon as the windows logo appears, and sometimes it freezes and restarts during that loading screen.
could that because of the cpu or is it something else ?
I've already tried to change the memory sticks and nothing worked.
Please I need help.

The Rest of the build:
Asus EX-A320M Gaming Mobo
Zotac GTX 1080 amped edition
16GB (2X8gb) Corsair Vengence
Gigabyte B700h 80+ Bronze semi modular PSU

I recently returned a faulty Ryzen 5 3600 because it gave me bsod everytime and especially with the newer motherboard bios versions and after 3 days they gave a new one that works fine. I was getting many different BSOD like irql_not_less_or_equal , memory management , kernel auto boost invalid lock release etc. Sadly the only way to be 100% sure if its faulty is to test another Ryzen CPU and see if the problem remains then test another motherboard , ram etc.

I'm getting the exact same errors as well !!
I actually just tested my friend's R7 2700X and it wasn't giving me any problems at all. so I guess that wraps it up and I can clearly tell that the problem is from the cpu and that it is a faulty one. The sad part for me is that I got the cpu as a second hand purchase. 🙁

If the 2700X work without problem then yes the Ryzen 5 3600 is faulty like mine was. The CPU is just around 1 years old (amd released them 7 july last year) and AMD gives 3 years warranty total. So it is in warranty period. The person you bought the CPU from as second handed did not gave you a reciept?

If you have a receipt or invoice from where you bought it, you should be able to RMA the CPU with AMD for a replacement. The warranty should be tied to the product and not the original purchaser. If you know and trust the person you bought it from, they can try returning the CPU for replacement assuming that they have the receipt or invoice.
