how do i know if my motherboard is good for overclocking?
The difference between B450s is mostly looks, ports, branding, etc.
MOSFETs are transistors that make up the VRM (Voltage Regulator Module), the part that handles voltage adjustments for the motherboard.
does powerphases number affext anything at all? i
Yes. Higher count/quality is better but
you reach a diminishing boost fast.
Z87-A = 8 phase
Z87-A XPOWER = 32 Phase
0.2GHz better OC after tweaking the hell out of BIOS.
But, in my opinion,
for those with bad airflow (small cases, few fans, ...), more is better. Because the load will be distributed and not overheat them.
