How do I know if the GPU I'm getting will fit?

I'm getting a new GPU and I'm not sure whether it will fit or not, how do I figure out?

open the case and measure the space

That looks to be a full length, full height card. So if your documentation says something like 'low profile' for the graphics card then it won't fit. You can download documentation at the HP site if you don't already have it.
