How do I know my Gigabyte x370 k7 is working?

So I have all the components needed to build a pc save for the CPU, And I just wanted to make sure if the mothermotherboard is proper working order, So I went ahead and plugged the MB cable to the motherboard and the PSU, And nothing happened, So I tried using the paper clip method to check If the problem is with my PSU and not the motherboard, And the PSU's fan started, So I'm worried if the motherboard has something wrong with it.
NOTE: Nothing was connected to the motherboard except the cable from the PSU And after connecting it I pressed the on/off button on the motherboard.

Try connecting a case fan and see if spinning.

Without a proper CPU you will not be able to determine if the motherboard is in "proper working order".

I suggest you get a BIOS beep speaker for when you get enough parts to power up the system.

Stop doing that install the processors first a lot of boards do nothing without the CPU installed.
