How do I know which graphics card is compatible with my pc?

I have an HP-540me.
processor is sandy bridge i7-2600 intel H67 chipset and a pegatron motherboard.
PSU: 460 watt (I can upgrade it)
What graphics cards can i use??

You have a GTX460, and a 460 watt PSU. I wasn't able to determine if the PSU had any PCI/E power cables for use by a video card., so the only GPU I could recommend is a GTX1050, as you can get a version that doesn't require any more power than can be delivered from the PCI/E slot.

your system can handle any GPU that will fit into the case including the GTX 1080. (measure the length from back to the front on the PCIe X16 slot - the big one close to the CPU)
Due to the fact that this computer was not thermally designed for high power GPUs, you'd be better using blower style cooler like the one on reference designs.
Obviously, you might need to upgrade the PSU depending on your GPU choice.

This 1050ti doesn't require a 6 pin power PCIE plug and its over twice faster than the GTX460.
