How do i know which graphics card to get?

Here are two picture of the inside of my Dell Inspiron Desktop 3847. I am unsure which graphics card to get for some games i play. I mainly play league of legends. i was wondering if i can get some help enhancing graphics performances and compatibility for my pc.

Really any modern GPU will fit in that PCIe slot that you have a picture of. Considering you said you mostly play games like League, a GTX 950 would be more than enough. Even a slightly older card like a GTX 750ti would be good for you.
