...if I'm successful at overclocking? Have ASUS P3V133 Mobo, 550Mhz. I changed jumpers. Is that it? Is there a specific test that I can run?
Thanks

when your system posts after your overclocking attempt, the processor rating should have changed... run a testing program like SiSofts Sandra to see how much your system performance has increased (or decreased)

Hmmm, wonder if I can get a valid page fault ???
these invalid ones are far too commonplace...

In SiSoftware Sandra says speed is 551Mhz but performance rating is PR661 (estimated). Upon bootup still says 550 Mhz. Was I successful in overclocking?
Thanks

Doesn't look like.

Which jumpers did you change? The ones for the multiplier or the ones for the FSB?

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on 😱

Well you have a P3 which have their multiplier locked meaning that you can only OC it by increasing the FSB.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on 😱

My mobo has jumpers for CPU Bus Frequency, CPU Core Bus Frequency Multiple and CPU😛CI Bus Frequency Multiple Selection. Which ones do I change, and to what?
Initially @550Mz frequency, Multiple was 5.5X,Bus F. 100Mhz and CPU😛CI @3X. Thanks for your help!

So I leave the CPU Core BUS Frequency Multiple @ 5.5X, change the CPU Bus Frequency😛CI Bus Frequency to 4Xmultiple and change the the CPU external Frequency Selection to 133Mhz? For the CPU external Frequency Selection @ 133Mhz, have option of CPU/PCI of 133/33.3 or 133/44.33. Which one do I choose?
Thanks a lot!
