How do I load my SD card onto my HP computer?

I have an HP Pavilion dv6 and I cant figure out how to get my SD card to read. When I put it in the slot to try to load, it can not be secured. Please email a response to ********Teresa

What sort of media card reader is it, i.e. 26 in 1, etc...?
