Question How do I make Control (2019) work on ultrawide monitors?

I want to play it on PC with 32:9 aspect ratio, the problem is no matter what I do it stretches the game.
I looked around and found https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Control#Multi-monitor
but it didn't seem to help, it even corrupted my installation once so I had to reinstall, the issue still exists with the third party patch (Maybe I've done it wrong I have no clue)
But I know I played around with settings for far too long, tried every combination you can imagine, still stretches.

The native game doesn't support anything beyond 21:9, so the only solution are third party patches like the one that the page links to. If you have problems running the game even after following their steps, I suggest you go ask them what you might be doing wrong.
