How do I make my case fans more silent?

Yes I'm sure its the fans because when I use the controller to turn them off its completely silent

Well it sounds like your fan controller at startup is sending a signal to power the case fans at 100% speed for a few seconds. Considering these are 2000 RPM max sleeve bearing fans, that's going to be a little noisy. Most 120mm fans have a max speed of 1200-1500 RPMs.

I can't find any information on this happening for someone else with this controller. I assume you have the temperature probe installed correctly? You may want to contact NZXT support about it and see if it is normal.

Where do I put the probe?

Not too much of a difference but I have found what the main problem is, the side panel fan is making a droning sound but if held still is more quiet any suggestions? I was thinking foam pads

Sounds like it is causing the panel to vibrate and resonate. Honestly I would remove the fan entirely. I have found that side panel fans have little to no effect on temperatures. Otherwise you can try something like an adhesive foam strip from a craft store and see if you can get the panel to fit a little tighter.

The fan seems to work well though do you think rubber screws would make a difference?

Ok thanks for your help I'm gonna try rubber screws if they don't work I may try foam padding
