How do I make my system a silent system?

I've been looking around for new fans,no success as the market is so huge.. Anyway in the interest of ever improving my PC I wanted to know how to make my system silent. Does it require under-volted or just quiet fans? I'm looking for suggestions of how to implement suggestions and any product ideas to go with the suggestions(especially what fans to use) would be a great help. I have a Zalman Z11 case and I'm using air cooling, Enermax ETS-T40-TA. Replies greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance!

Try those out, using those myself and they are quite good, most efficient way to make your system silent is to water cool =)

What speed are the running? Any ideas of something a bit cheaper?

To be honest, you will have to do your own homework. There are literally thousands of fans. Some basics to remember which will help you in your decision as to which fans to choose:

1) 120mm or larger fan is preferred - smaller fan = louder (has to run at higher RPMs to move the same amount of air as a larger fan)

2) PWM fan 4-pin connector) is the preferred choice - allows for BIOS and fan controllers to step the voltage to the fans based upon temperature reading

3) Ballbearing fan - runs quieter and will last a lot longer than other types of fans (i.e. sleeveless fans)

The other alternatives to a quite PC would be to go with a liquid cooling solution...mo money, mo money 🙂

Corsair H80 gets you a beefier Rad for the same money, but that wont make too much of a diff imo. My biggest source of noise is the GPU fans, even though all other fans are pretty quiet it just allows me to hear the GPU fans louder and louder while gaming =)
