How do I make the default "Duplicate the Display"?

How do I make Windows 8 always "Duplicate the display" when I plug in a tv using HDMI? It always defaults to "Extend the Display". I don't want to have to change it every time I plug the TV in.

With both connected you should be able to Rt click the desktop and in Screen Resolution set the default as Duplicate Displays...

Yes I know, but when you disconnect the HDMI and re-connect, it loses the "Duplicate" setting and reverts back to Extended. I want it to retain the duplicate setting.

Seems Duplicate is default for Laptops and Extended for Desktops...
