How do I make the game use more cpu instead of gpu?

Hi there im trying to play forza horizon 3 on ultra with my GTX 970 with +100 core clock and +150 memory clock.
Can i use my cpu (I7-8086K) to be used more to reduce the stress on the gpu and have better fps?

That should run the game on medium to high settings @1080 resolution all day long with zero issues.

Only way to achieve something like that would be to turn down graphics settings/resolution. Otherwise no, you can't use a strong CPU to make up for a weaker GPU.

You could lower your resolution...if you're on a 1440p monitor, go down to 1080. Otherwise, the cpu and gpu process data in completely different ways, so the cpu cannot "take over" for the gpu. You can only reduce the workload that the gpu is responsible for. One way to do that is to lower the resolution...or other graphics quality settings to a lesser extent.

well if it the game allows you to run it at 640x480 that would use the cpu more than the GPU it would look like crap probably though.

so 50fps in freeway and 43 on the city should be fine?

Its a GTX970 mate so not up to spec for Ultra gaming, however, it also depends on your monitor. They could be using a 1080p 60 Hertz Monitor to your 4K Let us know what the monitor resolution and refresh rate is mate and that will likely explain it.

yep, all temps are good

What CPU speed mate ? Have you overclocked the 8086K ? That thing is made for overclocking (with a price to match) !!! If your not this may be the difference, get yourself a good CPU cooler and do a basic overclock and you should jump from 4Ghz to 5+Ghz which will help your FPS and may explain the difference....
