How do I Manually Install Downloaded Drivers?

There are a couple ZIPs with a ton of files in them (setups, CFG setting folders, etc..)

Then there are a couple Application Drivers (USB 3.0 driver, Ethernet Driver, Chipset Intel Driver)

I just built my PC from scratch and it posted just a couple days ago.

I downloaded all of the very latest most important drivers directly because I didn't want Windows doing it.

Do I just double click the application and let it do its thing? Or is it more than that? What about the Zips with lots of files?

First unzip (Extract all files) the zipped folder. Then double click on the Application.

I was worried that I would extract it somewhere it isn't supposed to be.

You just need to know where you extract them.

The default application installer should have pre configured installation directories.

Don't worry about where they are extracted to - usually it will be to the same download folder. After the driver is installed, delete the zipped folder, and after a few weeks delete the extracted folder too to conserve hard disk space.
