Question How do I measure power consumption of the CPU, GPU, RAM, motherboard, system as a whole, etc?

I don't mind purchasing equipment for this if needed - but I would like to know if there is a reliable way to get wattage measurements for the various components in my system.

Is there a way I can measure total power draw of the whole system? Or just the CPU? Just the GPU? Just the RAM? Just the motherboard? etc. What am I able to measure and what am I limited in being able to measure?

Are there software solutions that provide effective readouts, and if so which numbers do I need to pay attention to?

Get. Kill A Watt device. Plug it in and plug your system to it. That will tell you the total power draw of your system

My question would be why? The reason I ask is determining how accurate you need this to be. I have a smart plug that also monitors usage but I would not call it an accurate reading, just ball park reading.
