apparently i did not know that 240gb is not a lot of space for games i have a 1yb hardrive but i dont know on how to move my games or at least change the installation location also i cant back up my games because i have to "verify the cache?" i did that and it still wouldnt work help me out pls.

Log out and exit Steam
Navigate to the folder where Steam is installed (by default: C:\Program Files\Steam\)
Delete all of the files and folders except the SteamApps folder and Steam.exe
Cut and paste your Steam folder to the new location, for example: D:\Games\Steam\
Launch Steam
Steam will briefly update and then you will be ready to play
All future game content will be downloaded to the new folder D:\Games\Steam\Steamapps\

I dont understand why even move the games, you dont really have to.

Open steam: Settings > Downloads > Steamlibrary folder > add install folder. Done... i have games on 2 hard drives as well.
Everytime you will install a game it will now ask to pick one of 2 locations.

if i may just ask this is there any risk or any way i can screw up this process because i have some expensive steam games in here is there any risk to this process i just wanna know

You can do that at any point recently installed a new drive, no problems here. Have a full D drive now and filling G atm.

No risk involved, i do recommend my second solution as its far easier :) .

Is the new harddrive empty? a fresh one?, also try to fix it by going to my computer > rightclick the drive > properties > security tab.
