How do I open a Toshiba 1TB eSATA/USB box?

I'd like to remove the 1TB HDD from this case, and install it in my HTPC. Then I'll take an unused 250 GB SATA HDD from my laptop to replace it in the external box. Trouble is, I can't get the box open. Any help? PH3100U-1EXB is Toshiba's part number.

Thanks

Rob,

I have 2 of the same drives and have scoured the 'net looking for the same answer. I gave up today and forced the case open. Unfortunately I wont be able to use it again for another drive.

Both black plastic covers have 4 plastic tabs that once fitted onto the unit are permanent. I pulled off one side and looking at the tabs, there is no physical way you can get any tool inside the unit to even try to depress them so the cover would come off.
It appears that once the unit is together it's not meant to come apart. If you wish to force it apart like I did, then you'll need to pry the plastic shell case off until you hear the plastic tab to crack.

I hope this helps.
