How do I output audio from my external speakers instead of my monitor?

I have this specific monitor. "Asus VP239H-P frameless" I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I am able to hook up an external speakers to output sound instead of using the built-in speakers?

Plug in speakers to your computer, open Windows Sound settings, select the Playback device you want and set it as default.

I am so sorry, I should have mentioned that it is not hooked up to a PC as I hooked up my PS4 to the monitor***
