How do i overclock my i7?:C

Hi I have an i7 2600k processor is there any softwares as in the bios it won't let me go any further than 3.8ghz it's quite confusing, help please? thanks

the motherboard needs to support overclocking as well. while most will support it, there still are mobos that do not.
