How Do I Overclock?

Hey guys got a new pc, 8320 and m5a97 r2.0 from asus. I want to overclock from 3.5ghz to like 4.0ghz I am using stock so that is the highest I want to go.

You should not overclock anything without an aftermarket cooler.

You risk overheating and damaging your PC without proper cooling.

Ok, I won't overclock with stock, but I am buying a cooler tomorrow Which out of these should I buy: NZXT Respire T40 on sale for 24.99$ or the Cooler Master 101A for 16.99$ base price. I really think that the NZXT is better taking into account that it's normal price is 54.99$. Now that I am purchasing a cooler can you please teach me how to oc, I am using uefi bios on the asus m5a97 R2.0 motherboard.
