So my MSI GTX 1070 started flickering black lines across the screen a couple of days ago so I contacted MSI and they suggested I sent it in to get repaired. I don't have the original graphics card box with me (in college so it's at home). I was wondering if it would be best for me to to have the original box sent to me and then send my graphics card to MSI in that. Or would there be a good way for me to send it without the original packaging.Because I'm guessing I need a bag like the one it came in to prevent static. But I wouldn't know where to get it.

Thanks for any help.

Solution
Realistically you dont need an antistatic bag.
Any box with sufficient bubble or loose packing would be fine, unless you have a way to fit it in something rigid (foam or plastic).

The original box is nice to have on hand, I recommend getting it at some point.

Hi,

MSI should tell you what to do when you get the email with RMA number.
Basically, find a box big enough to fit it, use some anti-static bag, foam and bubble wrap.
Put your address and their RMA addresse with RMA number on the box and copies of the RMA papers inside the box.

Do you know where I would be able to purchase a anti-static bag?

Walmart, OfficeMax, UPS...
