Question how do i power the SP120 RGB PRO

i got the 3 pack of the SP120 with the lighting node core and i thought it would power them aswell as the video they use for the setup says it combines the lighting node pro and the RGB fan hub. my RGB works but no power and no extra headers on motherboard. do i need a corsair fan hub like the commander pro (which i dont want cause all i need is power and adding that will mean i spent over £100 on fans.) or can i get a cheaper one somewhere?

Yes, there are two sets of cables on the fans, one cable for powering the fan blade itself, and one for running the RGBs. Your wording is confusing to what you're trying to ask about.

If you need more fan headers to make the fan blades spin, just buy some fan splitters ($7 for a pair) and you're all set.

I would have 5 fans overall and if i use these i would have to stack splitter on splitter to power them all as i only have 2 fan headers, would this work fine?

Most motherboard fan headers can supply 1A. Corsairs product page says each SP120 RGB Pro uses 0.3A. That's getting close to the limit, but technically doesn't exceed.
There are 3 way fan splitters out there also.
