Hello, i have 2 computers connected to a 8x port switch:

1 Computer has windows 7 64 bits professional
The other computer has windows 10 pro

The switch has: Ethernet cable from modem, and ethernet cable for both computers.
The problem is:
I can't find the way to configure any remote desktop app to work ONLY through LAN connection, i mean, not going to the internet. I want packets to be sent from Computer A to Computer B without going to any server or something like that.

Tried with chrome remote desktop because i found on the internet that it only uses net connection at start to verify your account, but it still uses my internet even after the connection is established.

Thank you for your help, been trying to solve this all week.

Solution
Windows RDP wont work with many games, was not designed to, there is no DirectX support over RDP. I don't know enough about Chrome remote desktop and how it functions to be 100% sure it will operate without going over the internet.
You can modify the Advanced Windows firewall settings and only allow port 3389 inbound on the wired connection.
Another option is instead of using the hostname to connect via RDP, use its wired IP address.
Another option is to modify your hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts to have the hostname that you use for that computer to be manually set to its local ip with an entry like this 192.168.1.25 Computername

Either way RDP will not leave your network, if you had it leave your network you would have the manually open up inbound firewall ports to allow the traffic back in.

Edit this is assuming you are using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection, anything else that is web based like chrome remote desktop, teamviewer, logmein will all use your internet connection.

The thing is, i want to play games on both computers and use internet without any problems.
But i want RDP to work through the internal connection and not going to the internet and then back to my LAN.
I tested chrome rdp again and disconnected net cable from switcher, it's still working perfect. Does that mean that it doesn't uses WAN to work?
I forgot to explain, the problem is that my ISP limits my connection to 100gb per month, and i play with both computers 12 hours a day.
Tried windows RDP and it's horrible hahaha, i mean i hate it, but is it the only way to use RDP on LAN?
