How do I put the icons back on my taskbar?

I have win98 SE, I went and followed a tweak guide and now the icons on the bottom left of the task bar(next to start, typically has things like back to desktop, internet explorer, outlook express) are gone, is there any option in windows I can enable to put these back, or would I have to follow the tweak guide all the way through until I can find out what I messed up?

Right click teh taskbar, and choose which icons u want.

Ok, what happened is not that the icons are gone, the area to put the icons in is gone, and by right clicking I don't see anyway to get it back. The slider thing that is normally there is not, any open windows will be right next to the start button.

Nevermind, I just used the tweak program I downloaded from microsoft and reenabled shell enhancements.
