How do I re map preset windows shortcuts?

I use a program that makes me press F8 alot, So on my new laptop it seems that the F8 key is bound to opening the project tab of windows, you have no idea how frustrating it is! I have looked for guides on how to remap something like this but I cant find anything, I know there is an answer im probably just looking in the wrong places. Any one please help!

If you have a laptop, check for its own keyboard software. It may have the option you are after. Some of this stuff is just not something you can bypass.

You may need to press the FN key with F8, this depends on the keyboard setup.
