Question How do I reallocate 256 GB of unallocated space disk space

My hard drive contains the following partitions in order - New Volume - (Z is 44MB NTFS Healthy (Primary Partition) followed by (C 40.63 GB NTFS healthy (Boot, page file, crash dump, Primary partition) followed by 312 MB - no drive letter - healthy (active, recovery partition) followed by 256.99 GB Unallocated space - followed by new volume (G 125 MB NTFS Healthy (Primary Partition)

I would Like to Expand my C drive if this is possible - even if it means purchasing a partitioning software tool - otherwise I will merge with the G drive but can I do this in windows 8.1 Computer Management. I would be very appreciative of your advice.

Personally what I've found easiest when dealing with partitioning is a 3rd party software called AOMEI Partition Assistant. Maybe give that a whirl.

Always backup your important data before messing with partition

With windows you can only expand partitions to the right. So unless you wanted a huge Recovery partition or create a new partition in the unallocated space (and yet another drive letter) then your best bet is partition software which can do much more then windows can.
Aomei is a good one!

I agree with creating a full backup before messing with your partitions.
