How do i reformat my hard drive with vista

Hello,
I need to format vista a virus has taken my screen away ,no picture startup screen ,nothing even in safe mode ,I can only navigate through dos , can i format the drive some how.

If you have no data to backup or worry about, you can place the Vista Install CD into the DVD drive and boot from the Vista Disc when you start your computer. You can then proceed to perform a fresh install of Vista. Sometimes, Vista is found on a Recovery Partition on your hard disk. If so, there should be an option during startup (before Windows loads) to do a System Recovery.
