How do i reload operating system on my toshiba laptop

Hello,
i cant figure out if i have an operating system on my computer to reload or if i have to call toshiba and have them send me one. Is there anyway to know if its already on my computer and i just have to reload it? thanks for any help anyone has.

best way is to find out is to talk to toshiba because some manufacturers will partition your hard drive to two paritions, the second smaller hidden partition will have your windows backed up to restore from.
